Does anyone know what the tube at the rear of my 88 F250 5.8L that is connected to the two heads is called or what it does, its about 1/2" thin wall tubing & has a sort of capped hex shaped coupling in the middle off to the right, it has pin holes & leaks exhaust, it dont show it in my haynes manual & i think its causing some problems.

Well I know the that tube on my old LTD with a 302 was for oil to go between the heads....that's where I had a major oil leak from....don't know what the diff would be on a 351 though

dam oil pressure gauge starts off way under the low red mark then once started goes up to just to the tip of the red dono if thats a faulty guage or sensor but i'm pretty sure its getting oil wouldn't it overheat if it weren't, & it only has 125k on it, no clacking runs nice & tight?? Too many fawkin nick nacs on this piece of shit pissin me off anyone considering o ford forget it drill a hole in your cranium first 88 Fords anyway.LOL

do you have any pics of the exaust part
as for the oil pressure i'd test it but it's more than likly the gauge is toats those fords are famous for there crappy TTB (front axle) and the worst wiring problems on the planet

Thanks Dude there is one pic in the manual of the rear of the engine but no reference to it, don,t know if i could get a camera in there but i'll try it must have somethin to do with the emissions, do you know if fuel regulators fudge up on them ive got one on it for the fuel inj & for some reason after i put the front tank pump in the gas line going to the frame rail pump burst dont know may have been old hose cause i can hear the pumps all work it seems fine now with the emission problems i cant get it to idle at all now gotta keep pressure on gas & brake to keep going at stops love it i'm a red neck LMAO!!

O hey duder how would i do a kwik pressure check, thru the pressure sensor hole & the guage from my pool pump as i have spares ?? How much pressure should i look for?

i'm stealing the schools computer right now so i gota be quick i wouldnt trust a pool gauge and it may be cheaper to go by one than adapt the pool one and i'm not sure the exact specs but id say at least 15 psi or more at idle and around 60 from 2000rpm and up

Ok asked peeps at Partsource & they said it something to do with the emissions & Ford would be the best place to look for a new one, so i aint pay Fords outragous prices i just put liquid metal over all the holes & gona try it, oil pressure sender is ok i'm gonna manualy check for pressure with a gauge to see if its ok then prolly rig up a new guage if its got pressure. Back soon, thanx management!!!

Now i bought the code reader & reads code 63, TP sensor circuit fault, below minimum voltage has anyone seen this before i've checked the resistance on the sensor & seems within range but i'm think'n Fierodude said Ford was known for some of the worst electrical problems so the wiring from the sensor is bad somewhere must keep testing circuits & voltages I guess.
