rockwells are cool 2.5 ton axles that are in most cases unbreakable but if you drive your truck on the street on a regular basis i'd say there unnessary unless your running a minimum 40" or taller tires but the sure are cool
i'm not sure exactly sure where it would be but in most cases its very near the blower moter it should have a conecter with 4 or 5 wires coming out of it.

I saw one article on the net about them when Timken made them but arent the same as when they switched to Rockwell yada yada, where are they found in tractors?, anyways thanx Dude i'll check on that resistor, i brought it in last week & they said it was that & i need stabilizer links, i'm sure i'll find those though not payin them to do shite like that, LOL.

ya theres 3 different types of rockwells theres the spicer type which is the one everyone wants then theres a ball and cage style like which is like toyota's birfields and another that i can't remember as far as i know the only differance is the u-joint style for the axle shafts but the biggest turn off for a rockwell is the fact that they only come with a 6.72 R&P ratio and no one makes any other ratios but since it's getting more populuar it's only a matter of time before somone comes out with somthing
