Hey all new to this particular site, but with the same name under many others. Either way, good site.
Story goes, I've had my rig for a while. 88 Cherokee. Lifted, ect ect. Went offroading, got stuck in a bog. Assuming the added stress of turning larger tires out of huge ruts I made, the powersteering knuckle at the pitman arm is leaking like a siv. Im not sure if there is a seal replacement that I can purchase and install, or is the whole unit pooched?
Thanks, Nav

I do believe there is a seal replacement...but you will need to remove the pitman(which can sometimes be a pain) If you need more clarification or others that may know more check out http://www.soxja.org(Southern Ontario XJ Assosiation) or www.jeepkings.caHope this helps Hope to see ya on the trails sometime Where abouts are you from

Just stumbled upon this one and thought why not join! Im in toronto, east york area, but have a cottage up in minden, so im familiar with all the hydroline trails up there.

I,m not one hundred % sure but i,ve jimmied a pitmant arm off my F250 doing so rip that seal to shit, & i'd think its safe to say that if i put a seal back in that one it wouldn't last as its been stretched somehow just my two cents don't know as i was replacing it with one from a scrap yard but what im getting at is it sounds like its been stressed too much and prolly should be replaced as a seal is prolly almost half the price of a used steering box, Happy trailing wish i could wheel with ya's i'm not aloud as it would be too cool, cool things don't happen to me anymore LOL.

That's laugh .... Lowrad has a Jeep aka Wilson !!!! In the picture ... the Land Cruiser(Bushwacker) is mine (Bushy) & is the one being towed. The Jeep (YJ) towing belongs to the President of the Northumberland Offroad Club (NORC).
Hey Lowrad ... see ... being in a YOTA 2x has you labelled !!! HAHA !
