I’m looking for a 350 block (or if by some ungodly miracle a 400 block). It has to be the old 2 piece rear oil seal type and include a rotating assembly. I also need an oil pan with it. I don’t need heads, valve train or anything else with it, but I will buy a complete engine to get these parts. Preferably as cheap as possible, but I need it to be reliable as this has to drive me to school everyday. The perfect block would be a mid 70's 4 bolt 350 with low compression heads, but I’m open to almost anything

Probably a few at Tafts 350's are a dime a dozen I wouldn't think ya'd pay more than 100 and change for one at Tafts....I mean I got that Sterling rear diff for BurntJeep for like 60bucks or someting and I didn't touch a thing....don't know what they'd want at Tafts....phone and ask.....then go check out what they've got ......I mean ya can tell if it's got a dent in the pan then it's no good....or if it's seized....forget about it too...but ya could probably find one there in decent shape and give it a minor rebuild(re-ring...and whatnot...)just enough to freshin it up
