These rocker panels I've got have powder rust where the fingerprints are... I gotta get something on them.
Just primer them for now? Is any particular primer a favorite?

2k epoxy primer is the best for bare metal.

PartSource of course.......I can get you the epoxy primer for about $80 /gal and $ 40 for the activator. Next best option, if you want a rattle can, is zinc chromate. It goes for about $12 / spray can.
Another really good option, especially if its flash rusted, is Por 15. About $60 /qt.

It doesn't seem to be BARE metal... seems to have a very thin coating of some sort on it... I'm assuming zinc...
Seems to be the fingerprints and seams so far... can't afford to buy a gallon of that stuff so I guess I'll be going the spray can route...
Plus that's more convenient cause I don't have spray equipment.

The metal does have a very thin layer of oil from manufactoring...you should clean it with some soapy water or brake cleaner before primmer...that way it stays

Ah ok thanks.
This looks like a huge chore... I'm thinkin cut the tops off of the OEM replacements and just weld them on and fix seams... this is retarded. Doors have to come off and all and I don't have a garage.
