Well a week or so ago I blew the rear drive shaft out of the YJ so I replaced the u-joint.Well low and behold it fell apart again today on my way home.Now my t-case is droped and everything looks ok so any ideas of why I am going through u-joints like there is no tomorrow???I don't know why....

Are your straps bent slightly or tight? That'll do it! Trust me, twice now! LOL

yeah they seemed tight...it's almost like the caps are sliding off it's pissing me off.

Are the strap type...Greasy(Tiny) YJ's aren't.....did you get the ones with greas nipples on them...I get the brute strength ones and they don't have nipple....(damn that's a funny word to say)...Nipple...NIPPLE NIPPLE NIPPLE...NIPPLY,,NIP NIP NIP,,,,,NIPPLE...LMAO I agree with BAD,....maybe the driveshaft is outa wack after falling out

they are the normal 1's flat piece's with 2 bolts that hold it in.

ok went out and looked and one side of the yoke the ear broke off so I need a yoke now.Hopefully thats all it is..

Okay, if it's not the yolk, which I believe it is if it's broke. But, if not, are you getting the right size u-joint? If it looks like the caps are coming off, can be wrong size as well. Found out when I kept throwing all mine, there are 2 or 3 sizes pending on the year. Mine takes a 3.5", yet the first time I got a 3 5/8, had to take it back. there was also a 3 3/8 or 3 1/4 or something like that. Anyways, I have a yolk here. You bring the socket and Johnston bar. I don't have the right size nor do I know the size. LOL
