You might need a clutch alignment tool...I've never personaly needed to use one BUT sometimes things don't line up...lol....Is it that the tranny bolts don't wana line up with the motor type thing or is it that the tranny and the motor are to far apart type thing

You'll need an alignment tool for sure. Sometimes you get lucky but I wouldn't chance it. If it's not lined up right you can actually blow your clutch into pieces.

All the clutch alignment tool does is align the splines...this way it makes it easier to put your tranny in....if the clutch splines aren't aligned it won't go together

hey im nof7toyotaguy buddy we did his motor at my place....and we use an alignment tool and got it all bolted up...it was a bit** putting a motor in at 12:30 at night outside with it hanging from a tree...i can say it is the first time ive hear of someone doing that..but now he has gone and effed the motor again and he got a ''rebuild'' motor for 200..and now it needs a cam because the guy put in a used cam?...the cam is pretty much gone...i dont really know how well rebuild this motor is but at least this time he didnt us a tree to drop in the motor haha
