Okay, I kinda stole this from a guy on another site, but I think it's a good idea.
PAINTING YOUR 4X4 ? Next time you want to paint your 4x4 fast and cheap!! go to colour your world and ask for speed enamel any colour mix it with tolean to thin it out and spray it on it will dry with in 20 mins . And you are ready to go play and it will not flake off or peal and you can wax out scratches with no problem.
Yes its for real and it works great i have done this on my own trucks and other trucks and have made money from it .The paint comes out looking like glass when sprayed right.Colour your world might not have it but general paint does. Last edited by Bumper Thumper : 05-24-2007 at 06:50 PM.
No need to use primer just scuff up your paint a little and spray it. Keep it in mind that it does dry fast if you know how to spray paint you will be fine.

Rockers and pieces either make them or contact someone who deal with Cross Canada or a similar company near you!

Thxs Lostzuk, do you know if theres a diagram of a truck showing the names of all the pieces that are made, i think i can prolly fab most of the pieces but like the bottom of the door frame i'd like a perfect fit if possible.

Cross has a good website I will get you the link tomorrow at work, then go on there, if they do not give you a pic or line art of it, you can always try some of the body shops, they may be able to get it out of their computers.

Here is how I repaired my rockers... I used 4x2" rectangular tubing 1/8" wall welded... Cost me 50 bucks and a weekend with the cutoff wheel and the mig welder. This also gained me 2" of body clearance over the stock rockers... Looks like a body lift but none on the truck. If welded in right they can be used as sliders... I have not tried mine yet. Kelly

sweet, thats simular to what i did to mine but i used 2"x2" and ran suports to the frame and roll cage so i can set the entire weight of the truck in the sliders i also put a set of rails out the side there 1.660" tube. it pisses me off cause everyone thinks there steps then i have to explain how they keep rocks out of my truck
i'll see if i can get a few pics of it lator

Heya Yes the paint really works. I used to work in a fork lift shop and had to paint them for resale after a rebuild. I would use a brush. Even had some pro painters come and have a look and were very impressed with the way it looked sprayed on if ya mix the laquer/thinner correctly. Kelly

Cool had to look closely couldn't even see the tubing at first, most of the rocker was still there on mine so i just welded in some angle behind & used a hotwater tank shell to do the floor, was very nice to work with nice & light easy to form & weld inplace, hope to get some pic from my aunt to post soon.
