Anyone got experience replacing these suckers......Our is going to the shop to get the bearings put on etc. But need some guidance putting one in...One site said we had to give it a wack with a hammer(or such, I'm such a girl when it s comes to this sort of thing so you know I'm not doing it.) to set it in place. Its a floating axle. Any help ie. website with pics or experience would be great bogggirl

To re install all I have done is slide the shaft in (did I say really say that?) turn it untill it slides into your spider gears, make sure the seal is started in the axle tube, and evenly tighten the 4 bolt holding the shaft in. Done! Oh ya it is a good idea to put just a little grease on the inner lip of the axle seal for the initial startup untill the gear oil makes its way there. Good luck

Thanks for your advice. We got the axle in and had to redo the driveshaft (some part of it) and we're good to go. Thanks Lowrad for coming over I know that boggboy really appreciated it. See you guys on Friday. bogggirl
