The K -5 finally got muddy

Well it's been legal for a couple of weeks now but I’ve been fixing everything that's been braking on it (broke both drive shafts 4 hours after I got the plates that’s the best one) but today at lunch a buddy offered to buy oil (its leaking about a liter every 3 days) if we went mudding so we hit a trail just north of the 401 and I proceeded to cover us in mud. The truck works better than I even hoped it climbed a 50-degree hill without even a hiccup and this is with the old carb. That hasn’t seen a rebuild in a couple of decades so as soon as I can afford gas I’ll be looking to hit a trail run but she's thirsty like 5 miles to the gallon kind of thirsty so it may take a bit of saving up

Ya it's freezing and I only just fixed the heater on Monday not that it makes much of a difference. I got it saftyed at Rons and I work at no frills. For an engine its got a 4 barrel 350 the tires are really old and in need of replacing but there 35's I’m hoping if I win the lottery I can get a set of 39's or even 42's because that is what I set the lift height for but it may be a while before I win the lottery especially since I can't afford a ticket lol

Ya I ended up fixing it on the side of the road in the dark with a crappy old tool set I borrowed from a friend

That was a great day cold but still great and it was nice to finally get the truck out and meet everyone. that jump was pretty fun if I ever get around to building a truss for the front axel there'll be a lot more of that
