Was out playin the other day and the welded rear end held up good but got it stuck when we fell through some ice and it was alittle deep. put it in 4 wheel drive and nothing outta the front except a little jitter of the tires any ideas anyone. no real noise or anything. ended up gettin it out, i had to drive instead of my buddy. my right foot must be heavier ;D ;D

Check the transfercase fluid ;D Had that problem with WAggy....but eventually I needed to replace the transfercase Is it the 231 or 232 transfercase Nick

if 4x4 works in revers it's probely the diff in your t-case if this is the case check all motor and tranny mounts because they will be what tore it apart. What happens is the flexing of the drive train can slightly dissengage the 4x4 shift lever causing the diff to grenade

i'm asuming this is on your new ford is yours push button 4wd or do you have a good ol' fashon shifter and what hubs auto or selectable
