Honda Technical Service Bulletin # HSN 1200-01
"Honda vehicles have come with an electrical load detector (ELD) unit in the underhood fus/relay box. This unit allows the ECM/PCM to regulate the alternator between high output and low output to provide the best combination of fuel economy and electrical system operation."
In a nutshell this means that when there is a low electrical demand, the alternator is in low output. With things like time change and weather, you are using a higher electrical load but it sounds like the ELD is not switching the alternator to high output.
Hope this helps

Thanks guy,s i thought it might have somethin to do with one of those, i was in the car manual and all it said is exactly that about the timed control shit, i'll do some more testing to try & find if it is charging when the car starts up everything seems fine then boom radio, tack goes wacky &dim lights go dim i'll post what i find but it sounds like that ELD, also i noticed after i had the compressor & rad changed the alt belt was sqealing, for a minute & stoped, thought after maybe alternator was on way out, belt seemed pretty tight but still slipped alittle is it possib that its still ELD?

pulled it out & i turn the pulley & it wasn't turning real freely seemed like the bearing was binding a little so i've labled it shit & figure that was causing it to sqeal on start up, so they were supposed to have the alternator in at Partsource on friday went in today & they didn't have it so i'll have to wait till monday now @#$% suckers.
